Summer course season is fast approaching and as per usual, a wealth of wonderful summer courses will be taking place at Marino Institute of Education this July.

Marino is well known for high-quality summer provision, with a suite of engaging courses in both online and face-to-face capacity.

Please note, ALL MIE Summer Courses are DE approved and qualify for three EPV days.

Face-to-Face Courses:

Face-to-face courses run in the beautiful surroundings of the MIE campus from July 1st - 5th. Lunch is included for all participants.

For 2025, there are four superb face-to-face courses on offer:

  1. Gaeilge: Deiseann chun Gaeilge a Labhairt (Teagascóir: Aodán Mac Suibhne)

  2. Promoting Practical & Playful Primary PE (Facilitators: Suzy Macken & Catríona Cosgrave)

  3. Looking at Autism : Effective Practice to Support Pupils to Thrive & Learn (Mary McKenna & Anne Collins)

  4. Unlocking Modern Languages : Strategy & Introductory Guide for Teachers

This course is new for 2025! With MFL becoming a key part of the primary school curriculum, now is the perfect time to equip yourself with practical strategies, engaging activities, and confidence-building techniques to make language learning fun, accessible, and effective for young learners, with a focus on beginner French and Spanish and intermediate German.

The course fee for f2f courses is €95.

Online Courses:

This summer, there are two online courses on offer.

  1. Firm Foundations: Building a Foundation for Literacy Learning in the Junior Primary Classroom. (Facilitator: Clara Fiorentini)

This is my own summer course! #AD This is year three of my summer course so it will be the last chance to complete this iteration of the course.
